Fox & Fox are a boutique producer of English Sparkling wines, cultivating 30 acres of the classic champagne varieties in East Sussex. Their vineyards sit either side of the charming old village of Mayfield, in the rolling hills and bluebell woods of the Sussex High Weald. 

In the vineyard, first planted in 2004, they are very innovative, striving to achieve the best possible grapes in our cool climate. Much attention is paid to soil and micro-climates across the two vineyard sites. Jonica and Gerard were serious wine lovers long before they started the vineyard, and at every point in the process, their intention is to produce wines that they themselves love to drink.

In the winery they take a traditional approach: they aim for cool fermentations and minimal manipulation to create wines that speak of their vintage and cool climate East Sussex origins. The emphasis is on minimal intervention in the vineyard & light manipulation in the winery. Quality is favoured over quantity, and Jonica won't release wines until she feels they are truly ready to drink, insisting that the wines spend a long time on the lees. Such dedication results in high recognition, such as the Platinum medal and 97 points awarded to the Blanc de Noirs '14 in the Decanter World Wine Awards 2019.
